Treleigh Basketball Team
Congratulations to our basketball team who came a very respectable 3rd place out of 10 schools in the area finals at Penryn College this morning! The matches were played at an incredible pace with high intensity; fitness and reactions were tested to the maximum. Well done boys!
Netball Area Finals at Penryn
We are incredibly proud of our Netball team today who competed in the area finals at Penryn. Treleigh were one of seven teams who made it through to a tough final. They played a spectacular six games and from the second that every whistle blew to the end of each match they fought with true determination. They won four games (winning one match 7-0), lost one and drew one with the opposition equalising in the last minute despite fantastic defensive skills. They came a well earned 2nd place, the highest our team have finished. In true Treleigh style they finished each match with true sportsmanship. Congratulations!
Designing Sessions
Our year 6 Sports Leaders were busy on day two of their course today, designing their own sessions in groups. We cannot wait to see their leadership skills develop when this is put into practice!
Creating Dance Actions
Wheal Harmony worked in groups this afternoon to create dance actions for different weathers and performed them on counts of 8.
Off to the Area Finals
Congratulations to our netball team for making it through to the area finals! It wasn’t to be for our rugby players this time but they competed well in every game, winning two and narrowly losing in two
Multi-Skills Area Finals

Multi-Skills Sports

Camborne v Redruth derby
It doesn’t matter which side they represented in the competitive Camborne v Redruth derby, these lads were great friends regardless!
Skateboarding Club
Skateboarding Club enjoyed learning new tricks in the sunshine tonight with plenty of talent on show! Skateboard.
Football Club
Y1/2 football club got off to a flying start today with two close matches and a hat-trick for Harry M! They all had a great time and shook hands after each match with big smiles on their faces!
Local Rugby
Whatever colour you were supporting today, what an amazing advert for local rugby. A long overdue reunion of Camborne v Redruth in its first competitive league match since 1991. With a couple of ex-Treleigh pupils breaking into National league rugby, we look forward to seeing what the future brings
Trevictus Games
A big 'well done' to those children who represented our school with pride today at the Trevictus Games. What a sterling job they did!
Learning to Play Cricket

Hitting the Surf
Day 2 for Years 5 and 6 hitting the surf! They were blessed with excellent conditions for Mr. Hanley to showcase his skills! But in all seriousness, the children had an absolutely fantastic time, were a credit to Treleigh and their families, representing themselves and the school tremendously! I think they will all sleep well tonight! Stoked!
Surfing at Gwithian
Yesterday 5 pupils had a fantastic morning surfing at Gwithian with Global Boarders Surf School. Their first challenge was getting into damp wetsuits, that was tricky. They then carried the boards to the sea and showed real perseverance and courage and overcame their nerves. Just look at the smiles on their faces! Mrs Finch, Mrs Wheeler and Ms James are very proud of them all!
What an amazing achievement from our basketball team who represented the Redruth area at Penryn College today in the area finals. In their group matches against Penponds, Threemilestone, Penryn, Archbishop Benson and Mount Hawke, they won 4 and lost 1 before progressing into the overall final against a very strong Threemilestone team. Despite their best efforts, it wasn’t to be as Threemilestone ended up worthy winners. All five children should feel extremely proud as many schools would have been involved in the build-up to this.
The First Round of the Primary Cross-Country Key Stage 2 Competition

We took over thirty pupils to Redruth School to participate in the first round of the Primary Cross-Country Key Stage 2 Competition. We are very proud to be taking a number of pupils to the next round. All children displayed perseverance, grit and determination! Bravo Treleigh!
